FC Barcelona Set to Play Inaugural Game at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition two and a half years following their departure so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch on 7 November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht in December at the stadium. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
