David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A representative for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was made after an investigation into claims about questionable actions towards women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, which features a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago for his services to charity and the arts.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
