Madeleine McCann's vanishing has not yet been solved

On Monday, the tribunal learned communication data and evidence obtained from phones logged Ms Wandelt repeatedly demanding Madeleine's mother for a genetic test throughout 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - at the age of three during a trip in Portugal - is one of the most publicized investigations and remains unresolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

A separate phone message, played in court, documented Ms Wandelt declaring: "I know I'm heavy and not pretty like Madeleine was, but I feel what I know."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's recording said: "Imagine there is a slight possibility that I am Madeleine? Then what? Isn't that important for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I have a existence here in Poland, I simply desire to discover," the recording stated.

The jury was advised that via electronic messages, SMS messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt requested a genetic test, sent childhood photos to her phone in a effort to show a likeness to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and asserted to have "recollections" from a early life with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an investigator with law enforcement who collated the data, told the court there "showed no any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore contacted close associates of the McCanns, according to the communication logs.

On that date, the father answered a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "the wrong phone."

During that incident Ms Wandelt left a message on Mrs McCann's recording stating "I won't give up and I will prove my position."

Kate and Gerry McCann gave evidence to the court from using a security measure on Wednesday

The court learned the co-defendant established a connection via internet with Ms Wandelt prior to accompanying her on a appearance to the McCanns' home in the county in December 2024.

Phone records revealed Mrs Spragg had contacted via WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to express the media had characterized Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she should be considered genuine in the months preceding the appearance to that location, that area, in last December.

The court learned communications between the two defendants, in that autumn, planning endeavoring to get Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her trash or from utensils at a eating establishment.

"We have to take action," the co-defendant advised Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the visit to their home, Mrs Spragg sent a text which expressed: "We find ourselves sat outside the McCanns' residence with our headlights off like detectives. I desired to achieve this with someone else I didn't imagine I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The case continues.
